Meet The Doctors
Mark A. Straka DDS
Dr. Straka is a native of Elyria, Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University (BA Biology 1975) and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry (DDS 1978). Dr. Straka completed a one year general practice residency at The Medical College of Ohio (Toledo, OH) then completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at The Ohio State University (1982).
Dr. Straka is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the Ohio Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Straka is currently on staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital and has provided over 30 years of full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery in private practice in Columbus, Ohio.
Jonathan T. Williams DMD MD
Dr. Williams is a licensed physician, dentist and board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). He has practiced full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery since 2014 with a special interest in third molar extractions, dental implant placement, bone grafting, office-based anesthesia, and surgical treatment of maxillofacial pathology.
Dr. Williams grew up in New Hampshire and attended the University of New Hampshire, graduating with his bachelor’s degree in 2000. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) with honors from Case Western Reserve University in 2009. During his time at Case Western, he was elected by the faculty to the Omicron Kappa Epsilon honor society (OKU) for high academic and clinical achievement and earned the outstanding student award in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
His passion for education led him to complete his five-year residency training program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University Hospitals of Cleveland and the Cleveland Clinic, serving as the chief resident his final year. In addition to completion of his certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Williams earned a medical degree (M.D.) and completed a year of general surgery rotating through neurosurgery, ENT, plastic surgery, trauma surgery and pediatric surgery. Dr. Williams’s training involved extensive experience in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including office and hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training.
Seeking the highest training an oral surgeon can obtain after residency, Dr. Williams was selected for a year long head and neck oncologic surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center with renowned surgeon Dr. Eric Carlson. Dr. Williams has authored three textbook chapters on the surgical treatment of oral cancer and reconstruction.
Dr. Williams resides in Columbus with his wife Dr. Laura Williams and their two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, movies, and playing ice hockey.
